Bio/Description

Griffin Jones is a fifth-year PhD candidate working on the 19th century American South. With guiding interests including labor history and the history of capitalism, their dissertation examines the history of Alabama industrialists before, during, and after the Civil War and their changing role within the Southern elite.

Previously, Griffin earned their B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago and interned at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum.
