We recognize and acknowledge that our program stands on the territory known as Lenapehoking, the traditional homelands of the Lenape people, also called Lenni-Lenape or Delaware Indians, whose descendants today include the Delaware Tribe and Delaware Nation of Oklahoma; the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape, Ramapough Lenape, and Powhatan Renape of New Jersey; and the Munsee Delaware of Ontario.
We seek meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities in Lenapehoking and throughout the Lenape diaspora. We support ethical engagement with Indigenous people, communities and nations, and seek to increase awareness and understanding of the traditions and experiences of Indigenous people in the Western Hemisphere and globally.
